DISHA-MURDER AND RAPE....MY VOICE

Priyanka was raped and murdered in Hyderabad on Nov 27th, 2019 very brutally by 4 men. The same dt Manasa was raped and murdered by her boyfriend. The next day, a woman who sells balloons was brutally raped, cut her with knife and murdered. In another incident a 6yrs old girls was raped by her step father. In this week a 17 yrs old girl is raped in Delhi by 4 men. In Unnao the rape victim is repeated raped and set ablaze by the rapists. I have read in the news paper that there are several other incidents of rape happening in the country at every nook and corner.

within 10 days, police killed the rapists of Priyanka Reddy in an encounter. Many people were happy for the killings of the rapists. There are now questions on police by Human Rights commission that its not right to encounter the criminals and there needs to be probe on the police involved in the encounter.

Whether they are encountered or not, the question is how long are our girls should face sexual abuse by men???????????????/Where is the end for this????How to end this?????????????

These are the questions we need to ask ourselves and search for remedies to curb rapes in India.

Women and Girls should not go out in the nights
They should go out only with someone
They should wear scarves
They should safe guard themselves
They should store so and so numbers
They should learn self defense techniques
They should not dress beautiful and go in a lonely areas

Do the above measures curb rapes and sexual molestation???
WHO ARE TO BE BLAMED FOR SUCH SITUATIONS HAPPENING IN INDIA???????????

No Doubt there is a system failure, including us, the society, the law, the police, the Government, The education system everyone needs to be blamed

Following things needs to be addressed on immediate basis:

1. Equip our children, girls and women with safety measures, life saving and self defence techniques, Update mobile numbers plus give them support and courage to raise their voice if they are prone to such brutal acts or if they are in danger.

2. Family needs to support the girl psychologically, understand her fear and do not blame her. Family should be her strength including police, NGOs, law and the Government.’

3. In the school itself, children and girls should be taught GOOD TOUCH AND BAD TOUCH. At the same time, the boys also should be taught NOT TO TOUCH

4. The most important thing, every employer be it school, college, university, corporate sector, manufacturing industry, service industry, all drivers, cleaners, security guards, watch, each and every employer should have a orientation program on sexual abuse and its punishments, legal action, etc. For female employees there should be a responsible officer to listen to their grievances and they also should be given orientation as to how to take care of themselves. This system should be mandatory immediately after joining the job.

5. The society should support a safe living by giving information of suspects  to the police.

6. What use of that education system which teaches equally to everyone the sin theta and cos theta instead of human values and respect, instead of safe living???? Igf a student want to go into arts, how is sin theta cos theta useful for him. Instead of that teach him/her to control their senses, self control techniques needs to be taught. If we fail in maths or science, a student is not promoted to next class...but is that education system correct? A holistic approach to education system is required instead of burdening them with syllabus. A Gurukul system of education needs to be adopted with practical approach and as per the interest and creativity of the student.

7. Police system should be well equipped with manpower and technological resources. At the same time, the police should also file FIR on urgent basis when someone approaches them for kidnap, rape or missing cases. Instead of saying that the issue or case does not come under their jurisdiction, already the technologically sound police should register the case and immediately act along with the police station of the concerned jurisdiction. Once the concerned station gets fully involved, the FIR too should be transferred to that particular station. Not only that entire surrounding police stations should be made alert. CCTVs should be fixed on every nook and corner especially at lonely highways/roads, There should be patrolling in lonely and sensitive areas. Police should react sensitively to those who complain instead of neglecting what they say.

8. If all the above should be in place, it is the Government (Both central and state) to provide necessary resources and knowledge and most importantly attention.

9. It is the duty of the government to create awareness among men the severity of punishments for rape and molestation. For programs like polio and Swachcha Bharat Abhiyaan, the Govt has incurred lot of expenditure. Rape is the major set back for the reputation and living in the country. Every day we here cases of rape at every corner of India. The Government should understand the severity of the issue. And it should give a serious thought and importance to curb this prevailing barbaric and heinous acts. We teach girls about good touch and bad touch. Its time to teach men “DO NOT TOUCH” I have seen at the high way toll plaza on way to satara, there was a van standing and lorry drivers and cleaners are being checked for Aids and they are being educated on such diseases. Why not there some workshops or centres to educate men not to rape.

10. Like food, if you say sex is important and if the men do not get sex they might go mad. So why not legalize prostitution? Every one knows that the prostitution exists in many places. Let men know where the prostitution houses are. Its crime to force anyone into sex racket or prostitution. We need to look into that matter too, but at the same time there are women, who would like to do sex work. It’s a known fact. If someone names it “MAJBOORI”, I say its only few cases, act upon it curb force conversion in to prostitution. But if a women is willing let her, so atleast to keep the society clean, we need legalizing prostitution.

It is then we can curb the incidents of rape atleast to some extent.

We need safe INDIA. We need the LAW & POLIC to be more strict. We need the GOVERNMENTS to act strongly and take immediate action.

Any Government if it follows the above, will definitely that society shall be safe.

9 MONTHS BABY RAPED AND MURDERED IN WARANGA

A 9 months baby was brutally raped and murdered by mid 20s youth living in the next lane in Warangal Dist of Telangana State on June 18th, 2019 while the girl with her parents were sleeping on the terrace. Police arrested the culprit and found that he is a dangerous psycho who sprays medicines on those sleeping in the night and rapes children and other women who are asleep.

The same day a 70 year old lady was molested by a man at Vizag railway station.

In another incident the very next day a 9 yrs girl is raped at Ramantapur, Hyderabad.

Next two days there was another news that drunken father raped his 5 yr old girl

The very next day 16 yr girl was harassed, abducted by a physicall handicapped person and was gang raped by his friends studying engineering in Ongole

As per crime records Bureau of India, the figures for Rapes in India is as follows:

Year - No. of Rape crimes recorded
2011 - 7112
2012 - 8541
2013 - 12363
2014 - 13766
2015 - 10854
2016 - 19765 (children below 0 to 17)

We have filed a petition on change.org. Kindly sign the petition, so that culprits who rape children should get death sentence within 6 months as per the law approved by the Government of India.

We request you too sign the petition available in the following link

The need of the Hour is not just punishing the culprits. Along with teaching our children GOOD TOUCH AND BAD TOUCH, we should TEACH OUR BOYS AND MEN NOT TO TOUCH

There is very little awareness for punishments against rape among the masses which should be known to everyone...from galli to delhi.

Lets share in all groups and media and pressurise the law, Government and the police as Justice delayed is Justice denied. No other such incident should happen in our country and no such culprit should be spared. INDIA should be an abode of HEAVEN but not HAIVAAN (DEMON)....@ Raveena Chavan
